Tucson’s Tally and What’s Next…

OMGoodness!
We had such fun….

On the road to Tucson from the airport with my good friends and great traveling companions, Josie Kavanagh in the center and Helena Hatten, driving the bus!  I couldn’t do any of this without them…  Thanks girls, you know I love you!

The Tucson Bead Show at the Windmill Inn proved to be a wonderful venue for WireKnitZ.  The advantage of exhibiting and living in the same location allowed us to schedule our classes as desired as well as act on the occasional spontaneous class!  We also enjoyed the intimate setting and freedom to spend more private time with our new customers and old friends.

Next year’s plans are already in the works… Scheduled classes will be posted shortly for early registration!

Christie Friesen’s 6th Annual Polymer Clay and Mixed Media Party Nite turned out to be such a success and great fun.  You know wherever Christi is, the fun follows!

Busy days in Tucson…

We debuted our NEW complete kits at the show, which will be on the website soon!

Students, Donna and Judy, learning the Urban Funk Necklace.

Jim attentively records Shala’s private class for future reference.

Super participation at Christi Friesen’s 6th Annual Polymer Clay & Mixed Media Make ‘n’ Take party on Friday night.

Josie & Helena (taking pics) shared their talents and enthusiasm with Make ‘n’ Take participants.  We were glad to see future generation’s taking an interest in WireKnitZ!
Norma & Chris sharing ideas.

Now how is that ruffle made?  Think pie dough!

A warm thanks to Christi Friesen and her staff of merry makers for including us in their highly anticipated evening with international and award winning artists like Lisa Pavelka, Dale Cougar Armstrong, Eirko Page, Syndee Holt and Narumi from Japan.  We loved sharing the wonders of WireKnitZ with all of those polymer clay and mixed media enthusiasts and hope we’ll be invited back again next year!

It’s so nice when friends stop by… A big squeeze with Maggie Tomei, the talented artist and free spirit of “Beneath the Sea” on the wall behind us.  Known for her extraordinary knitting, felting and mixed media designs, Maggie wore the colorful bracelet below that we just love ;D  Thanks for sharing, MagZ!

Naomi Fujimoto, the Editor of Bead Style Magazine and author of Cool Jewels: Beading Projects for Teens, stopped by for a visit wearing one of her latest designs.

This lovely lady stopped by to show us her necklace.  If you see yourself here, or if anyone recognizes her, would you please call or send us an email?  We would love to know who she is!

With the popularity of “selfies”, Helena and I couldn’t resist this quartz mineral for our photo backdrop…

… And of course, we were never far from good food with the convenience of Trader Joe’s,  Pizzeria Vivace, Bodega Kitchen and the calamari at Old Pueblo Grille…. Mmmmmmmm

Ahhhh, home.  A good time was had by all…
