This week we introduce designs by Elaine Moreira, the official jewelry designer for The Miss Universe Puerto Rico candidates. So not to spoil the big reveal in Tucson, we’re only showing segments of her latest designs for now.
At a young age Elaine would transform her grandmothers’ jewelry into her own unique pieces. In 2005, Elaine took her talents to the next level and started making jewelry professionally, offering customers one of a kind pieces inspired by the natural beauty of the island of Puerto Rico.
Throughout her collections, you’ll notice the rare usage of large charms with mixtures of textiles. She uses materials such as: Pearls, Semi-precious stones, Swarovski crystals, and vintage findings.
Recently her collections have been worn by celebrities such as Ashlan Gorse (E! News Host), Lindsey Haun (True Blood), Natasha Alam (True Blood), Fagun Thakrar, LaLa Vazquez, Fergie, Paz Vega and JoJo to name a few.
Elaine’s work has been featured in several magazines in the US such as “Fearless” (LaLa Vazquez), “Regard” (Ashlan Gorse), “Bunker Hill”, “Audrey” , “Genlux”, “Serendipidy” and “Bambi”.
